Attorney Cindy Manchester of the personal injury team at Levene Gouldin & Thompson secured a settlement for her client, who was injured in a hit and run on Long Island.  The client, who was a nurse, sustained a herniated disc and was out of work for several months.  Though the driver causing the accident was uninsured, the client had purchased supplemental uninsured motorists coverage.  At an arbitration proceeding, the client was awarded the maximum policy limits of $100,000 available under her own insurance policy.
